The Tulsa County Sheriff’s Office is putting violent offenders on notice.
Sheriff Vic Regalado is applying for funding to add new resources to the department. One of those is a $130,000 grant
The money will add a new team of seven deputies that will execute warrants.
The grant would also help them buy crime mapping software that will help identify crime hot spots in rural communities.
“It’s important to still think outside the box in terms of how we are going to provide needed services to the citizens of Tulsa County and applying for grants helps us alleviate those costs,” Regalado said.
TCSO is also applying for two other grants. One to add a mental health response team and the other to improve community relations.
