TULSA — Tulsa County Sheriff's Office say they are searching for a suspect in connection to a bank robbery that took place near 65th Street North and North Peoria Avenue.

Deputies say, just before 9:30 a.m., they received a call reporting a bank robbery at the Oklahoma Capital Bank.

The suspect was described as a black male in his 30s wearing a dark hoodie, gray shirt, black hat and dark pants with tennis shoes. Deputies say the suspect walked in and handed the teller a note which insinuated that he had an explosive device he would detonate if the teller didn't hand over all of the money in the cash drawer.

Deputies say the suspect got away with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The suspect was last seen on the Osage Prairie Trail going southbound on foot, deputies say.

Tulsa Police Department is assisting with dogs and a helicopter. Deputies say Legacy Charter School is on lockdown.

Deputies ask that anyone with information is to contact TCSO at 918-596-5600.
