TULSA – The Tulsa County Sheriff’s Office announced Friday that it reached an agreement with former Major Shannon Clark regarding past claims made following his termination.

TCSO sent a statement saying they would forward the settlement with Clark to the Tulsa County Board of County Commissioners in an effort to return Clark’s badge, retired law enforcement commission and service weapon.

“Sheriff Regalado reconfirms he is committed to the citizens of Tulsa County and to restoring confidence and trust within the Tulsa County Sheriff’s Office,” said the TCSO statement. “Sheriff Regalado believes today’s resolution of former Major Clark’s claims is yet another step towards eliminating the cloud of the past administration.”

Clark was fired not long after grand jury findings into the sheriff’s office were released. At the time, he spoke with 2 Works for You saying that he felt he was wrongfully terminated.

Clark claimed that problems within TCSO escalated after reserve deputy Robert Bates shot and killed Eric Harris. Bates has since been convicted of manslaughter in the death of Eric Harris and sentenced to spend four years in prison.

Stanley Glanz stepped down as Tulsa County sheriff in November of 2015.
