TAHLEQUAH, Okla. – Main streets across the nation were celebrated for being the mecca of the communities and one in particular is nearby!
Main Streets Across America included Muskogee Avenue in Tahlequah among its celebration of streets in each of the 50 states.
The website says that Muskogee Avenue is one of the oldest in Oklahoma. It was founded by the Cherokee National Council in 1839.
