Suspects are in custody after one of them stole more than $500 worth of merchandise from a South Tulsa Kohl's, Tulsa Police Department says.
The theft was reported happening just before 6 p.m. at the Kohl's on 71st street and Garnett road.
According to sources close to the situation we know a man appeared to be stealing items from the area. Once the store security guards saw what he was doing they approached him. At this point, our source says the man pulled a gun on the guards. They were supposedly spooked by the gun and immediately backed off to alert local authorities.
The man then left the store with merchandise in hand, our source says. While in the stores parking lot customers said he was pointing guns in their direction, according to our source. TPD says two accomplices exited the store and left the parking lot with the first suspect.
At some point later TPD caught up with the three men and took them into custody.
No one was reported injured in the robbery.
