TULSA – Two people were arrested Thursday in connection to a robbery located in the parking lot of a local IHOP.
Both Dominic Starr, 25, and Stacia Mabry, 23, were arrested in connection to the robbery, says Tulsa police. Police went on to say that the armed robbery occurred at the IHOP located near 51st and Yale around 3:30 a.m.
The victim told police he was approached by a man with a gun who eventually took his backpack. A few moments later police were able to find a car matching the description of the suspect.
Authorities were able to locate the vehicle described by the victim at a QuikTrip located near 47th and South Yale Avenue. When they stopped the vehicle, a woman exited and complied with their orders.
A passenger in the vehicle switched over to the driver’s seat, however, and headed northbound on South Yale Avenue eventually taking Interstate 44 eastbound. Police say they located the vehicle on East 11th Street across from South Garnett Road.
The suspect reportedly crashed the vehicle then tried to flee the scene, with a gun in hand. Police were able to detain the suspect and take him in for questioning.
The victim’s personal belongings were found in the traffic lanes of Interstate 44 after being run over by several vehicles.
