TULSA -- A suspect in a stolen pickup truck tried to outrun Tulsa Police officers through Midtown residential neighborhoods early Monday morning.

According to police, an officer saw a Ford F-250 pickup truck driving fast in the 3200 block of East 38th Street around 1:00 AM. The officer attempted to pull over the truck, but it sped away.

Another officer spotted the truck a short time later and also tried to pull over the truck, which again sped off. The driver eventually lost control and went off the road, hitting a bush and damaging the curb.

Police say the driver, identified as 31-year-old Justin Code, fled on foot, but was later caught near 37th and Harvard. The truck was reported stolen out of Glenpool.

Code is wanted out of Texas for another stolen vehicle, and was found with drugs in his possession, along with tools used in burglaries, and was using a live police radio scanner, according to TPD.
