ENID, Okla. — An Oklahoma man took a joyride on a 15-ton forklift, leading to a slow-speed police chase.
Dash cam video shows the slow pursuit through downtown Enid.
A witness saw the forklift burst through a fence at a construction site.
He then followed the vehicle and waved others off the street, while police worked to find the suspect.
The chase lasted about 15 minutes before the forklift finally gave out.
Enid resident Court pierce says, "I wish I had taken control of the forklift. I couldn't have stopped him, but I could have gotten it out of the roadway."
"I was really concerned about the citizens here in enid. He luckily didn't run over me, but what if he ran over someone else," says End resident Rachel Lebeda.
The driver, 23-year-old Garrett Anderson, was arrested.
Police say Anderson broke into a construction site and stole the forklift.
