TULSA - Tulsa police say a man is in custody following a home invasion and police chase early Friday morning.

Officers say the home invasion happened around 1:15 a.m. near Admiral and S. 177th E. Ave.

The victim tells officers the suspect entered the home while an elderly woman was sleeping. He says when he arrived home he found the suspect holding a gun.

The man says the suspect ran off and appeared to be under the influence of some type of drug.

Officers later found the suspect's car near 51st and Memorial. Police say he sped off and crashed into two parked cars near 23rd and Darlington.

Officers say the man ran off on foot and a K-9 tracked him down and bit him. He received medical attention before being booked into jail.

Officers say an unwilling participant was in the vehicle during the chase. They say she surrendered when the car came to a stop.
