Suspect demands money, flees after overnight home robbery

Posted

TULSA--Officers responded to the 2500 block of E. 48th Street North for an armed robbery overnight.

According to Tulsa Police Department, the victim said she opened the door at about 12:45 am Monday to reach the mailbox and found a tall black male with a mask and handgun outside. Police say she stated the suspect forced his way into the home and demanded money.

During the altercation a single round was fired, striking only the home.

TPD says the suspect was apparently scared off when realizing the victim was not home alone.  It is unknown if he fled on foot or in a vehicle. No one was harmed during the incident.
