An arrest has been made in connection to the animal abuse of eight-month-old Atlas, the sweet dog who was dumped in a field with his legs strapped together and glue poured in his ears.

The suspect, identified as 18-year-old Daniel Williams, confessed to the crime, according to an official with the Creek County Sheriff's Office.

Williams lived close to the field and had come into the Creek County Sheriff’s Office for routine questioning, officials said. No reason was given as to why Atlas was abused.

Officials say the Muscogee (Creek) Nation Lighthorse Police had Williams in custody, but now he's expected to be held at the Okmulgee County Criminal Justice Authority.
