Supreme Court declines to review Oklahoma murder case

The United States Supreme Court is declining to hear a murder case involving an Oklahoma man convicted of shooting his lover's husband to death.

James Pavatt and Brenda Andrew were both convicted and sentenced to death for the shooting of Rob Andrew.

Prosecutors say Brenda and Pavatt killed Rob for insurance money.

In 2017, Pavatt's death sentence was overturned. In June, a court of appeals voted to reinstate the sentence.

In their petition to the U.S. Supreme Court, his attorneys argued that the appeals court should have heard his challenge.
