OKLAHOMA CITY -- State Superintendent of Public Instruction Joy Hofmeister announced Thursday a new student art contest for the design of a new Oklahoma specialty license plate.
Proceeds from the plate will be used to bolster teacher recruitment efforts in the state.
Pre-K through 12th grade students may submit artwork. The winning design will be chosen in an online vote. The Oklahoma State Department of Education will accept education-related artwork through Sept. 22.
