JENKS, Okla. -- Officials said that a student was found in possession of a BB gun Tuesday at Jenks Middle School.
The incident was reported earlier Tuesday at the school, located at 3019 East 101st Street.
A voice message from school principal Nick Brown said that officials received a report from students that a student was in possession of a gun.
Principals and campus police officers responded to the situation and found a BB gun in the student's backpack.
Brown said the student was disciplined for having the weapon.
A notice about the incident was sent out to parents.
