TULSA, Okla. (AP) -- Crews were battling grass fires across east and central Oklahoma as wind gusts churned up leaves and weakened limbs that were still blowing through the state.
Voluntary evacuations were in place Thursday for two neighborhoods in Owasso.
Firefighters and the Oklahoma Turnpike Authority were on the scene of a large grass fire that started in Pawnee County and has moved north toward the Cimarron Turnpike.
