The cleanup continues after heavy winds caused quite the mess in east Tulsa Wednesday.

The National Weather Service believes straight-line winds packed a punch - leaving behind the destruction.

70 to 80 mile an hour wind easily ripping off the roof of this parts store on Pine.

Up the street and just east of Highway 169 on Garnett, at least three billboards ripped into pieces.

The damage path was pretty narrow the south side of the billboards getting the brunt of the storm.

Thankfully though no damage was visible to nearby businesses.

Around 36th Street North and Garnett, winds snapped several power poles, which sent customers into darkness.

Crews from Verdigris Valley Electric quickly showed up to get the lights back on.

This is just one of several storm systems that popped up right during Wednesday evening rush hour.
