Story of Ada murder, 'The Innocent Man,' premiers on Netflix

ADA, Okla. — A new special about an Oklahoma case that shook the small town of Ada is now streaming on Netflix.

"The Innocent Man," based on John Grisham's true crime best-seller, takes a look at new evidence in the murder case from the 1980s.

The case involves Ronald Williamson, of Ada, who was wrongly convicted in the 1988 rape and murder of Debra Carter. Williamson was sentenced to death and served 11 years on death row before he was exonerated by new DNA evidence.
