ATOKA CO--OSBI arrests man in connection with shooting death. Twenty-year-old Wyatt Arp is booked at the Atoka County Jail.
Officials say that on Thursday, November 30, the Atoka County Sheriff’s Office requested OSBI assistance with a shooting death at 522 S. Bentley Road in Atoka.
When OSBI special agents arrived at the scene, they say that 55-year-old Douglas Arp had died from his injuries.
Officials say that his son Wyatt Arp admitted to investigators he had dropped the gun, causing the weapon to fire a round striking his father.
On Monday morning December 4, an OSBI special agent tracked down Wyatt outside an Atoka County hospital.
There, officials say, the agent questioned Wyatt more about the shooting. After the interview, the agent arrested Wyatt on a complaint of murder in the first degree.
