QUINTON, Okla. — A man and his 12-year-old son were rattlesnake hunting near Quinton on Friday when they came across a big one.
The man, William Towry, took his son Silas out for his first rattlesnake hunt.
The two went out to a rattlesnake bluff where they knew a big den was located.
They located the six-foot snake on a rocky bluff nearby.
The two also located a four-foot long rattlesnake later in the day.
The man collected the snake for research purposes, and plans to release it back into the wild before fall.
