Silver Alert canceled for Collinsville man with dementia

Authorities have issued a Silver Alert for a Collinsville man who has dementia.

The alert says 66-year-old Daryl Edward Widney has been missing since 6 a.m. Wednesday and could be headed to Houston.

He was last seen wearing blue jeans, brown leather bomber jacket, blue shirt and tennis shoes. He could be driving a black 2014 Ford Expedition with Oklahoma license plate CM4059.

Widney has been diagnosed with dementia and police say he could have a gun in his vehicle. He also has a gunshot scar on his leg and could be carrying a black satchel or blue canvas computer bag.

Police say he sometimes goes by his middle name Edward.

If you spot Widney’s vehicle or see him anywhere, please call 911 so authorities can help him return home safely.
