TULSA, Okla. — There were multiple scenes Friday tonight as police track down and kill a gunman who went on a shooting spree in Midtown Tulsa.

Right now, police do not have a motive.

Tulsa police told 2 Works for You the first call came in a little before 7 after the suspect reportedly fired a shot into the air outside the CiCi’s in the shopping center near Peoria and I-44.

He then went on to a different restaurant in the same shopping area, where police said he created another disturbance.

He then shot another victim, this time in the chin.

Police said the victim actually drove to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police then arrived on the scene and said the suspect ran away, hiding from them.

That’s when they spotted him running across the highway.

“Reports there are also that he had a gun in his hand. We don’t know if he shot at vehicles, but we do know he had the gun in his hand and was at least pointing it at vehicles," Danny Bean, Public Information Officer with the Tulsa Police Department, said.

One witness said she was heading back to Oklahoma City with a friend when the gunman ran in out in front of them.

“I saw the gun and I was like, 'That’s a gun,'" said Taylor Gore. "Then we both ducked and honked the horn and we kept driving and calling 911 and we’re like, 'Did this really just happen?'”

Officers eventually caught up with him on the highway, fired one shot, killing the shooter.

At this time in the investigation, police do not know the gunman's identity.
