TULSA — Leadership with Shadow Mountain Behavioral Health System announced on Friday that the facility has closed.
Effective Friday, the facility is no longer admitting new patients.
The facility says the "safe and seamless" transition of patients is now its top priority.
"After careful consideration an analysis, we have found it no longer feasible to remain in operation. We therefore have no choice other than to close the facility," officials wrote in a statement.
Shadow Mountain Behavioral Health Services, established in 1971 as Dillon Family and Youth Services, moved to its location at 6262 South Sheridan Road in 1980.
"The staff of Shadow Mountain are honored to have helped, over the years, thousands of at-risk youth with complex emotional issues and behavioral problems," a statement read.
