Tulsa area agencies in Texas to help with search, rescue

Grand River Dam Authority Police Officers, as well as firemen from the Pryor, Adair and Locust Grove Departments, along with members of Mayes County Emergency Management, left for the Houston area on Monday morning to help provide swift water rescue resources in the wake of Hurricane Harvey.

According to the GRDA, the crews will be staged near San Antonio, Texas, but are expected to work primarily near Houston. This Mayes County contingent is one of many from across Oklahoma headed for Texas in response to a support request from the state of Texas to the Oklahoma Department of Emergency Management (OEM).
