TULSA – Harvard Ave. was closed from 17th to 21st Street Tuesday as crews worked to fix a waterline break that caused issues for several businesses in midtown.

As of 6 a.m. Wednesday, the line has been repaired and water restored to all customers.

Traffic on S. Harvard Ave. between 17th and 21st streets has been moved to the southbound lanes and is limited to one northbound lane and one southbound lane. Motorists should use caution and reduce speed when passing through the area.

A contractor will begin to repair the street Wednesday, and is expected to be completed in seven days, weather permitting.

The sixteen inch burst near 1700 S. Harvard Ave. and left 25 businesses, two hydrants and even Lanier Elementary school without water for at least a couple of hours.
