Seven officers injured in Chickasha officer-involved shooting

CHICKASHA, Okla. -- Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation agents continue to investigate an officer-involved shooting in Chickasha on Sunday.

Officials said Alex Warren Klingler, 61, fired a weapon from inside his home in the 3500 block of South 4 while officers were serving a search warrant in connection to a reported aggravated assault and battery.

Officials said seven officers were injured and at least two went to the hospital for gunshot wounds. Five officers opened fire during the incident. 

Patrol sergeant Matt Schoolfield remains at an Oklahoma City hospital and officer Daniel Ramirez was treated and released.
