KETCHUM, Okla.- Senator Jim Inhofe's office has confirmed that he was forced to land his plane near the Grand Lake Regional Airport Sunday evening due to strong weather.
His office says Sen. Inhofe was flying with a local pilot in two separate planes when the incident happened.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says they received reports of the incident around 7 p.m.,
According to the FAA the plane the senator was flying was a Harmon Rocket,
His office says Sen. Inhofe was not injured and he is now home celebrating the 4th of July with his family.
The FAA is investigating the incident.
