SAND SPRINGS — A semi-truck that has turned over onto its side in the eastbound lanes on Keystone Expressway near 129th West Avenue.

Officials say the truck was carrying coal to fuel a steel plant.

Crews have redirected the eastbound lanes to Wekiwa Road to Highway 97.

The semi-truck driver is expected to be OK, but they were transported due a local hospital, officials said.

Crews say the driver saw a deer and swerved to avoid hitting it, collided with the cable barrier, over-corrected and rolled the truck onto its side.

Sooner Emergency Care is on their way to help with the clean-up, officials said.

The highway is expected to be shutdown for hours, officials said.

Crews were called out to the scene at 4 a.m.
