Posted

SKIATOOK, Okla.---People in Skiatook have been hearing twelve hours of music a day.

That's how much the Seattle Cascade Drum Corps is practicing for its performance Wednesday night in Broken Arrow.

It's one of nine groups touring all across the country for the Drum Corps International Tour.

The group has been staying and practicing at Skiatook High School since Thursday.

During the tour, the members slept on cots in the gym and showered in the school's locker room.

The group is taking advantage of the time before the next show.

"We're really refining and fixing things. We don't have any distractions as far as traveling to a different area. We don't have any distractions as far as having to go to a show and perform.." said Michael Tran. "We just these straight rehearsal days where we can really get down and dirty and clean the show."

The "Drum of Summer" event starts at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at Broken Arrow Memorial Stadium.

The tour will end in Indianapolis for Drum Corps International World Championships.
