Researchers are all caught up searching an area of Oaklawn cemetery after cellphone interference caused some setbacks Monday.
Now they say there could be another hang-up; researchers are not sure if they'll be able to search around the IDL.
The IDL is one of the additional locations the race massacre committee has said they'd like to have investigated.
The area was once part of Oaklawn cemetery before the highway was put in.
"We've been giving the IDL area a fair amount of thought the last few days and the problem with doing any work there primarily for us is that the radar pulse goes through the ground but is really affected by metal and the fact that there's so much rebar that's put in the concrete in highways especially in those bridges is going to cause a lot of problems for our machines, I just don't think we're going to be able to penetrate it." says Scott Hammerstedt the Senior researcher with the Oklahoma Archeological survey.
As of now, researchers aren't sure if they'll finish Oaklawn cemetery this week or if they'll have to work for into next week.
The team says they hope to have a report on all their findings to the city by mid- December.
