Posted

SAPULPA, Okla. – Three people were taken into police custody for questioning Thursday after leading two departments on an overnight vehicle pursuit.

Tulsa police say they were contacted by Sapulpa police to assist in stopping a car that they believed to be involved in a recent armed robbery.

Officers, along with a Tulsa Police Dept. helicopter, responded to the area of E. 51st and S. Harvard.

The pursuit ended after Tulsa and Sapulpa police were able to stop the car on Interstate 44 just past the Harvard on-ramp.

Police say a man jumped out of the car and ran across the interstate but officers were able to catch and arrest him thanks to the TPD helicopter.

Two women stayed in the car and were taken into custody for interviews.
