SAPULPA, Okla. -- Police arrested a man after he led them on a high-speed chase across Sapulpa and Tulsa before midnight.
Officers responded to a call of a suspicious person at the QuikTrip on South 49th West Avenue. When they approached the man, he refused to talk to officers and sped off in a pick-up truck.
He led police on I-44 eastbound until 129th East Avenue when he turned back around to Sapulpa. Officers said the chase got up to 100 miles per hour.
After more than a 20-mile pursuit, Sergeant Mike Sole said officers were finally able to put a stop to the chase.
"The vehicle was spike stipped during the pursuit. He lost two tires," said Sgt. Sole.
Then, the man rammed into two Sapulpa Police vehicles and officers put him into handcuffs.
He was booked into the Tulsa County Jail.
