SAPULPA, Okla. — Sapulpa High School is bringing gaming to its campus.
The school says it views esports as an opportunity to engage the student body and prepare its students for the emerging market, which experts say in 2022 which reach $1.8 billion in value.

The district says it gauged the interest of its students, and the feedback was overwhelmingly positive regarding bringing esports to Sapulpa.
Tryouts for the team begin Wednesday at the high school. School officials say they expect tryouts to be a multi-day event due to high turnout.
