SAND SPRINGS, Okla. - A man was arrested Monday after allegedly stealing from police and others in Sand Springs.
Jimmy Baker's booking report says he was taken into custody after attempting to steal a car.
Baker is also accused of escaping detention and trying to steal another vehicle. Police say when they found Baker, he was in possession of several stolen items including firearms and bullets from the department.
The report claims Baker admitted to stealing from officers when he escaped custody the first time.
Baker told police he was trying to pay off some debt.
