SAND SPRINGS, Okla. - Officers with the Sand Springs police department arrested a 14 yr old boy at the high school football field after finding a handgun in the teen's locker.
Officers were called to the stadium by school officials who received information that a student had a gun in
a backpack. Police were able to track the backpack to a locker at the football field and called police when they located it.
According to the police report, there was no evidence that the weapon was going to be used to harm any students. The teen was later transported to the juvenile detention center.
