SAND SPRINGS — A home badly damaged by floodwater was destroyed by a fire near Sand Springs early this morning.
Fire officials say the fire started before 3 a.m. in the Town and Country Neighborhood.
Firefighters think an electrical short may have sparked it.
The area was mostly evacuated, and by the time fire crews arrived, the roof had already caved in, officials said.
Officials say the house was vacant and had three feet of water inside when the Arkansas River flooded the neighborhood.
