Charles Page High School Principle Stan Trout sent a statement Friday confirming that the video will be reposted, and slightly edited. Read the entire statement below!

Students at Charles Page High School worked together to create a video showing students lip-syncing popular songs from today and even from the 90s, early 2000s. Despite the amount of effort put in to the video, it was taken down not long after being posted online.

According to Supt. Lloyd Snow, there was a complaint issued about the songs included and the lyrics within those songs.

The songs being questioned were “Thrift Shop” by Macklemore, “Low” by Flo Rida and “Superman” by Soulja Boy.

While some may have issues with the video, there is also a petition that was created to bring the video back. Currently the petition already has over 260 signatures.

Not long ago, Broken Arrow High School created a similar video and included songs from similar artists mentioned above that are reportedly causing controversy for the Charles Page High School video.  Check it out below!
