Officials with The Salvation Army - Tulsa Area Command announced the kick-off of the Holiday Season with this weekend's "2019 Red Kettle Goal" and the launch of the "2019 Angel Tree" adoptions.
Officials say on Friday, Nov. 8, The Salvation Army invites the public to attend its Red Kettle kick-off.
The kick-off takes place at Reasor's in Bixby, which is located at 11116 South Memorial.
Officials say Reasor's will match all donations made between 10:30 a.m. and 7 p.m., up to $5,000.
Also this weekend, the community will be able to start adopting angels through The Salvation Army's Angel Tree program.
On Sat. Nov. 9, there will in a kick-off event at Woodland Hills Mall, in the lower level JCPenny's Court, at 10:30 a.m.
Officials say there are more than 2,700 families expected to receive gifts and food through the Angel tree program for Christmas.
2 Works for You will be holding it's Salvation Army Red Kettle campaign on Dec. 5 from 10:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. in front of the 2 Works for You studios.
Two church choirs, St. Pius and St. Bernard, will be performing at this event.
