The short break from the heat will hopefully give your air conditioner some rest.
This month is Home Energy Aid Month and utility companies are teaming up with the Salvation Army to help you with your cooling bill.
The Salvation Army says they are able to help families who qualify with money towards their bills.
"The average amount of assistance is about $130," Major Mark Harwell said. "So they're able to meet with a case manager, get sometimes some budget counseling help."
The Salvation Army is only able to provide this help because of donations.
For the rest of the month, utility companies are matching every donation for this program.
