TULSA, Okla. -- In light of the recent death at Schlitterbahn's in Kansas City, the lifeguard supervisor at Safari Joe's H2O Water Parks reassures the public their tallest water slides are safe.
The slides are seven stories high and can go as fast as 50 miles per hour and riders must be at least 48 inches tall to experience the thrill.
The lifeguard supervisor says the staff inspects all of their slides twice a day.
The slides opened three weeks ago, and a third slide, set to open by Labor Day weekend, will be even taller.
It will be eight stories high, making it the tallest water slide in Oklahoma.
