TULSA — Safari Joe's H2O opens on May 23 with several COVID-19 safety procedures in place.

The water park, located at 21st and Yale Avenue, opens at 10 a.m. on Saturday, according to the Safari Joe's H2O's Facebook page.

Temperature checks at the entry gate, signage promoting social distancing, hand-washing stations and water-proof tape encouraging guests to stay six feet apart are some of the procedures the water park will have to help protect their staff and guests, according to Safari Joe's website.

These measures are in place to keep our patrons healthy and safe during the 2020 summer season. Though we are not responsible for the exposure or transmission of the novel coronavirus, we are implementing the plan of action outlined above to provide the best possible experience for our loyal and treasured patrons.

Staff are wearing masks to perform bag checks behind sneeze guards and temperature checks.

The park encourages guests to use clear bags to gain entry into the park faster. Clear bags are available for purchase at the park.

After the park closes each night, the grounds will be fogged with a disinfectant.

Some attractions entrances, like Reptile World, are one way to promote social distancing.

The park is operating at reduced capacity and staff will be monitoring the number of guests, permitting entry accordingly.
