Rogers Co. Sheriff’s Office: Man Dead After Officer-Involved Shooting

ROGERS COUNTY, Okla. — A man is dead after an officer-involved shooting in Claremore Friday, according to Sheriff Scott Walton with the Rogers County Sheriff’s Office.

It happened near East 480 Road and South 4120 Road.

Walton says a deputy was sent to serve papers to an individual and that turned into a violent fight that wound up being a shooting.

He says the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation was summoned to help with the investigation of the crime scene.

The identity of the individual who was shot has not been released.
