Roadway closes after trains derails in downtown Tulsa

TULSA-- Police have cleared the scene, but a roadway remains closed after some train cars came off the tracks on Tuesday morning. It happened about 9:30am near Greenwood and Archer in downtown Tulsa. BNSF officials say that three sand cars derailed. 

No injuries were reported. 

Officials tell 2 Works For You that Greenwood Avenue between 1st and Archer is expected to be opened by 6pm. 

2 Works For You has confirmed that Stillwater Central owns the railroad cars that derailed. 

BNSF continues to investigate the scene. BNSF says that they report the investigative results to the Federal Railroad Association.
