TULSA -- A midtown Tulsa road is closed after a street cave-in over a sewer line.
The street caved in over a sewer line at 36th and Lewis. 36th and Lewis is closed in both directions on the west side of Lewis and a single southbound lane is closed at East 36th Street.
Crews are working to repair the hole, which is two feet by two feet large. City officials said the road caved in due to the failure of a sewer pipe and a large amount of rain.
The road is expected to reopen by Saturday. Drivers are urged to find an alternate route in the area.
