TULSA, Okla. — The River Spirit Casino Resort's pool is scheduled to reopen later this month after repairs from flood damage at its tiki bar.
Brandon Brooks, the casino's facilities manager, said the work is almost complete. That is currently the only part of the casino that is being repaired after the floodwaters in May.
He said they had hundreds of volunteers, staff and outside companies jump in to help during the month-long closure.
"We had employees step up even though they didn’t have to. They were showing up and volunteering. They could have stayed home, got a pay check and had a little vacation, but the majority of our team showed up," said Brooks.
The popular pool attracts visitors during the summer time.
