Ribbon cutting for Outsiders House Museum weeks away

We're now just a few weeks from the opening of Tulsa's Outsiders House Museum.

Tickets for the ribbon-cutting, which is set for August 9, are sold out.

The house was featured in the 1983 movie based on the book by Tulsa's S.E. Hinton.

A new owner bought the place a few years ago and has been working hard to preserve it.

"This is movie history," said Museum Executive Director Danny Boy O'Connor. "This is literary history. This is Tulsa history. Why not save it and preserve it for future generations of fans to come."

They have added two location tours with Outsiders cast member C. Thomas Howell for August 11.

Tickets can be purchased here.
