COWETA, Okla. — An overnight storm brought heavy rain and strong winds through Wagoner and Tulsa County.
Coweta resident, Clint Ode, was lying down in his bedroom Sunday night when his house was hit.
“All of a sudden it just smacked the house,” Ode said, “then you just felt a ‘woosh’.”
The storm hit around 11:20 pm.
“There was no warning there was no nothing,” Ode said.
Ode was the only person in the house when a tree fell on his roof.
“First thing I seen when I came from the bedroom; water was just pouring down and had knocked the window out, it was like a waterfall coming through,” Ode said.
Now he is displaced for a minimum of three days, but he says he’s just happy to be alive and that his family is okay.
“It’s a bad deal all around," Ode said. "It's a bad loss, but everyone’s okay so we’ll try to make the best of it.”
