TULSA -- Police are searching for the person who they say shot a man in the chest at an east Tulsa apartment complex.
Officers responded to the Stonecreek Apartments near 41st and 129th E. Ave. around 5:30 a.m. Tuesday.
Police said it appears the homeowner heard a knock at the door and when he opened it someone fired two or three shots at him.
Police said one shot went into the apartment and shattered a neighbor's glass door.
Officers said the victim's wife and infant child were inside at the time.
The victim was transported in critical condition but police said the injuries no longer appear life-threatening.
The gunman ran off and investigators are still gathering more details.
