TULSA — The U.S. Department of Labor has released information on the largest occupations in the Tulsa area, along with the mean hourly wages for those jobs.
The Southwest Information Office of the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics released the report, which cites data from more than 550 detailed jobs from May 2018.
The report says retail salespersons make up the largest occupation group, which those workers earning an average hourly wage of $13.39. Cashiers, the next most popular group, earn a mean wage of $10.08.
Workers in the Tulsa Metropolitan area had an average hourly wage of $22.20, which is 11 percent below the nationwide average.
