LOCUST GROVE, Okla. — A retired captain for the Tulsa Fire Department will be laid to rest Tuesday morning.
Captain Dewey A. Garrison passed away last week in Locust Grove at the age of 79.
He served the Tulsa community for 21 years before retiring in 1989.
Captain Garrison also served in the navy, where he worked as a pipe-fitter before becoming a firefighter.
Funeral services will be held today at 10 a.m. at the Locust Grove Funeral Home.
