CHEROKEE COUNTY, Okla. – The remains of a man who was reported missing in August were discovered this week, say authorities.
Several items of Alvin Watts’ clothing and his cell phone were found outside the Cookson Game Refuge, says Cherokee County officials. Then on Friday morning, authorities were able to locate Watts’ remains just inside Adair County.
The Oklahoma State Medical Examiner was able to identify the remains as Watts.
There is no further indication as to what the cause of death was at this time.
